We’re all going on a summer holiday

It only seems like yesterday that we were digging our flip-flops out ready to embrace our “no-suit summer” and now we’re on the hunt for our woolly gloves. We’ve had a brilliant summer here at MPAD Towers, but we thought it would be nice to share with you exactly what the team got up to on their summer holidays.
Mark, Rachel and their daughters travelled south to France where the girls rekindled their love for mussels, cheese and chocolate crepes; meanwhile Mark was in total awe of a rather large steam-powered giant elephant.
After a few days camping at the famous WOMAD festival, Nigel and family also headed South in search of sun, patisseries and that all-important (and ever-so tasty) French wine.
Charlie and boyfriend Tom decided to swap pasties and beaches for Kendall mint cake and lakes this summer, staying in a beautiful country cottage in the Lake District.
Matt H and his lovely girlfriend Gemma explored the coasts of Cornwall in all its natural beauty. With finds such as these, why would you want to go anywhere else?
Our latest recruit Matt Stone leads a busy life and has spent the summer getting up at 6am to train for the British Surf Life Saving Championships, where he recently achieved 5 national medals.
Sammy headed up to the big smoke for a weekend, and in usual Sammy style a relaxing break wasn’t on the cards! This particular outing saw her flying over the Thames on the O2 Emirates Air Line Cable Car.
Our resident northerner Flo went on a crazy road trip up the country, peaking in the Lake District where she tackled some of the highest points around and took numerous “mountain-selfies”.
Finally there’s Julie who has spent the summer travelling across the South of England for a record number of weddings. Don’t feel too sorry for her though as she’s off to America for 3 weeks on Monday!
We hope you’ve all been able to squeeze in a spot of adventure this summer and catch at least a glimpse of the sun, but if not we’ve got our fingers crossed for you for an Indian summer style September.
